Policy Guidelines

  1. United Community Services of Peel (UCSP) is committed to providing services to seniors citizens with the help of volunteers as per available capacity.
  2. All decisions are made unanimously by the board members.
  3. All seniors and volunteers are requested to sign-up application and disclaimer forms.
  4. Volunteering is an opportunity to learn and grow, so be open to new experiences and willing to listen to others.
  5. It is requested that all Volunteers must follow the rules and guidelines set by the organization. This may include dress code, safety protocols, or other policies as are applicable and updated from time-to-time
  6. United Community Services of Peel (UCSP) strongly condemns all kind of racism and any violations in this regard will be subject to strict and punitive disciplinary actions.
  7. Be punctual and reliable. if you have made commitment and agreed to volunteer for a speicifc time, please make sure that you arrive on time and stay for the full duration as assigned.
  8. Be proactive and take initiatives. Don’t wait to be told what to do, look for ways to be helpful and make a positive contribution.
  9. Safety is top priority of United Community Services of Peel. Please take every measure to maintain your personal safety as well as those you are serving.
  10. Stay focused on the task at hand and avoid distractions. Volunteering your time and services is an important responsibility, so it is important to stay focused on the task at hand and avoid distractions.
  11. Be organized and plan ahead. Having a clear plan and staying organized can hlep ensure that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  12. Be respectful of others. Treat your fellow volunteers and those you are serving with respect and kindness.
  13. By following these guidelines, you can help maintain discipline and adhere to regulations while volunteering, which can contribute to a positive and productive environment for everyone.
  14. Use good manners. Remember to say “please” and “thank you” and use polite language when communicating with others.
  15. Be considerate of others’ needs and feelings. Think about how your actions and words may impact others and strive to be considerate of their needs and feelings.
  16. Practice good personal hygiene. Keep your hands clean, neat and clean dress and follow any other guidelines set by the organization.
  17. Use common-sense and be thoughtful. Think about hour your actions may effect those around you and try to be thoughtful and considerate in your interaction.
